who they are;;
Felix is an old deity of the woods, of nature, of stone and rock. They have known many names in many generations, though one of their favorites will always be the Celtic Cernunnos. They have a soft spot for Ireland, for the people there, for the superstition and the fairies. Felix is ageless, immune to disease or decay, unbothered by wounds; while they can be hurt and perhaps even killed, it would take significant damage and cunning to accomplish such a feat. They are capable of shapeshifting although they have worn the guise of a human for decades now, mostly for amusement if not for the ease of being one. They were for a time horned, as if the god Cernunnos was said to be, and sometimes touch their head as if they are remembering the weight of it. They don't shift much these days, for whatever reason they might present.
Apart from their ability to change their appearance Felix is always capable of going wherever a tree may be. This means they can traverse the length of the world in an eyeblink; but only if there is a tree there, a small squatting forest, a bulbous plant. They cannot transport themselves to a place that is dead. They favor the lesser known forests, the ones thickest with trees, the ones few humans venture into, and so they do not often see civilization except at a distance through the leaves. They prefer the summer although they are comfortable in all weather, and do not complain for the heat or the cold. In fact they do not complain much at all. They go barefoot and can 'speak' to the trees.
They have some small ability to repair plant life, to fix hurt trunks or diseased flowers, but there power has an extent and also their inclination to use it. Some things are meant to happen, of this Felix deeply believes; so if there is catastrophic damage Felix lets it be. If death is imminent, they will do nothing to intercede. They cannot help animals of any kind, and cannot speak to them either; only the trees and the other green growing things.
