who they are;;
Bodhi is a seer. He is, for all intents and purposes, human; but he is also immortal, and 'immune' to the time-stream. Like all seers he is able to step away from the passing of time, lending himself a far longer lifespan; and like most seers he chose to do so early in life, so he's retained a younger body. He can travel through time only within his own mind, so to outsiders it appears almost as though he is meditating; in fact Bodhi is capable of seeing through the eyes of people long dead, and sometimes relives entire lives in an effort to find something. Due to this he doesn't have a solid gender identity; he's satisfied with he/him pronouns when he's in his own head but the moment he ventures into another his pronouns change. He can access anyone's memories, although it is far easier if they're dead, and easier still if he is touching them.
The future is far more unpredictable than the past. Bodhi doesn't find any enjoyment in scrying through the potential of the future; in fact, he considers himself retired, and doesn't lend his abilities out to anyone these days. He can look at the future or the past whenever he desires it but touching certain items or people can help focus his borrowed memories, and help him reach a certain point in time. Many seers have a favored time period they keep on them in some form or another; Bodhi has a locket he wears that inside holds a pinch of sand. He needs only to touch the locket to go back to that time, some eons ago. Thanks to his powers he doesn't really like touching people or things, as his abilities can get ahead of his desire to 'see'.
There are very few seers left, and even fewer that Bodhi has kept in contact with. Many of them have faded since the onset of modernity; the more people in the world the more fluid someone's future proves to be, and so many, overtaxed by this change, simply faded away. When seers wish to die they need only to reconnect with the timeline they severed their physical body from, and they will pass between one breath and the next. Time is meaningless to them until that point. Bodhi is physically blind and was purposefully blinded as a child by another seer in an attempt to better Bodhi's abilities. No one is quite sure whether it worked, and the practice was archaic even when Bodhi was a kid, so it is even less common now.

personality;;
snarky || impatient || sarcastic || dismissive
Bodhi is a difficult man to get a read on. He's so defensively snarky that it's hard to judge the line between sarcasm and cruelty, and he toes it often enough. He's snappish and has a short temper and is liable to nurse silent grudges over little, silly things; and then days better bring it up and shout about it. Compared to him Sameer is surprisingly angelic. Bodhi has difficulty relating to mortals and so sometimes just being around the others exhausts him. Darcy especially makes his head ache; the boy's future is terribly uncertain and the possibilities are practically wrapped about him. He's sensitive about being touched (mostly due to his abilities) and he's liable to snap at anyone who brushes against him, accident or not. He will only very infrequently invite touch, and only for little blips of time. He has a gallows sense of humor and laughs at inappropriate jokes and during inappropriate situations. Given his abilities it is perhaps no surprise that he has immense knowledge of the past, and holds great stories within him. He's unlikely to ever share these stories, however. He acts like he hates everyone he lives with but he does little things to make their lives easier, like cooks things they all like to eat.
Also, although reading the future is far easier via touch, he can do without; and he utilizes his powers to interrupt those unpleasant futures he sees for his companions. He often waylays witches on Darcy's tail and hunters on Cuan's, and he's had a long conversation with Eione's mother that allowed the boy more space from his family. None of the others are aware of Bodhi's manipulations with the exception of Sameer, who knows what Bodhi's favorite smirk means. Bodhi is a very good cook and most of his senses are at least minimally enhanced due to his long-term blindness. He was blinded as a child and he scarcely remembers the event of vision, but he does very well without it. He's always smacking his roommates with his sight cane and pretending he didn't see them there. His connection to Sameer shaped who he became as the two met many centuries ago, in the deserts of Sameer's earthly birthplace. Sameer granted him a wish when he saw him and allowed him his vision; the sight dissipated when Sameer was later imprisoned but Bodhi has been hunting for the man ever since. The selflessness of the wish intrigued him, although Bodhi is pleased to find the years have made Sameer as cynical as him.
